This is yet another old-fashioned style auction lot of primarily 1970s and 1980s Topps Baseball, plus a huge number of important Rookie cards from the 1980s new manufacturers, an array that features more than four dozen Rookie cards, including many of the most important and coveted from the 1970s and 1980s, plus dozens of classic cards of HOFers from the 1970s. The group is broadly Excellent to Near-Mint in the 1970s and Near-Mint or better after 1981, with some exceptions noted, headlined by Rookie cards from the likes of Fingers, Carter, Rice, Hernandez, Dawson, Murray and Ozzie Smith, along with the popular post-1981 Rookie card brigade of Ripken, Puckett, Gwynn, Clemens, Bonds, Thomas, Randy Johnson, Piazza, Sosa and many others. The 1970s Hall of Fame roster features a couple of Clementes, Nolan Ryan (5), Gibson (2), Killebrew, Munson (2), Yastrzemski and Perez, to name a few. There is also a pair of 2000 Peoria Chiefs Albert Pujols Minor-League Rookies, plus that famous Upper Deck Michael Jordan baseball card from 1991, and – just to make sure everybody was paying attention – a 1984 Topps Dan Marino Rookie card.
