Presented is an important historical artifact, an uncut sheet of Fleer’s second professional football effort, a 220-card set featuring players from both the NFL and the AFL, now in its second season challenging the older circuit. The 132-card sheet featuring the Series II AFL players is 28-by-43 inches, the more difficult of the two series. The sheet, essentially in Fair condition and featuring a number of the key Rookies and major Hall of Famers, presents in a fashion fairly typical for early 1960s uncut material, with some creasing, tears and back damage to some of the cards, with some of the condition concerns likely decently addressed by some tight matting and framing. Here’s a breakdown of some of the keys: Jim Otto Rookie (Double Print – one has a large tear), Don Maynard Rookie (Double Print), George Blanda (Double Print), Ron Lowe (Double Print), Mel Branch (Double Print), Johnny Robinson Rookie, Otis Taylor Rookie, Tom Flores Rookie, Ron Mix, Jack Kemp, Billy Cannon and Abner Haynes.
