Presented is truly outstanding accumulation of important and often historic football full tickets and ticket stubs, from primarily from the most beloved collegiate football program in history, Notre Dame. It’s an unprecedented array across nearly a century, but with the emphasis clearly from the 1960s to the early years of the 2000s, with most in an attractive Ex-Mt or better, with perhaps three or four dozen below, often based on the tear of the stub. Almost all of the ticket stubs are from Notre Dame football, but there’s also a Notre Dame basketball ticket stub from the Jan. 19, 1974, game (Fair) when the Irish torpedoed the UCLA record 88-game winning streak, marking it as one of the more significant collegiate artifacts of the postwar era. This remarkable collection is defined in four segments: Notre Dame full tickets (45), Notre Dame ticket stubs involving many of the high-profile schools through Notre Dame’s storied history (179), ticket stubs from other schools – most notably Boston College (48), and Miscellaneous (62) – consisting of First-Day Covers, decals, schedule cards, bench passes, prayer cards, luncheon tickets and newsletters (62). Here’s the breakdown: 1) Full Tickets 1927-2017 (45) – including a 1927 Notre Dame/Dartmouth, a 1932 Notre Dame/Navy game (Ex-Mt-Plus) and a pair of tickets from the 1945 Notre Dame/Dartmouth game; 2) 1966-2017 Ticket Stubs (179) – including three (3) from the 1960s, seven (7) from the 1970s, 23 from the 1980s, 44 from the 1990s, 94 from the 2000s and five (5) from the 2010s; 3) Ticket Stubs from other schools (48); and 4) Miscellaneous (62) – including First-Day Covers FDC (2) from 1988 Rockne and 2000 Carlton Fisk, plus a pristine group of Near-Mint or better Notre Dame Schedule Cards of Heisman Trophy Winners, 4 ½-by-3 ½ inches – (2 each), Bertelli, Brown, Hart, Hornung, Huarte, Lattner and Lujack.
