Offered is an extraordinary pair of historic artifacts linked to Knute Rockne, arguably the most-beloved figure in the storied history of the Notre Dame football program. The Sept. 26, 1931, Knute Rockne Memorial Game was held six months after his death in a plane crash in late March. The 5 ¾-by-2 ½-inch full ticket with serial number 98010 presents nicely on the front, probably Very Good with some small creasing, but would be considered Fair because of paper loss that is confined to the back. The second piece in the lot is an extraordinary Nov. 7, 1927, issue of Time Magazine with Rockne on the cover; the 8-by-11-inch magazine features an incredible image of the famed coach on the cover, set off by a glistening white background. The historic magazine is 42 pages and easily in Ex-Mt condition.
