Here are two important artifacts from more than 100 years ago featuring two legendary figures from the dawn of the 20th century, Del Baker and Ty Cobb, gracing an attractive pair of B18 Blankets. In perhaps one of the most unique collectibles ever created, the 5 ¼-inch-square Blankets were often referred to as silks or linens but wound up in the American Card Catalog as “blankets” because so many were stitched together for bed covers, making individual Blankets like these all the more valuable. The Baker White Infield example is Excellent-Plus, boasting uncommonly vivid colors and the barest whisper of fraying; the Cobb White Infield, with some light fading and fraying is VG-Ex, with some staining on the reverse.
