Presented is an attractive elongated team photograph of the famous Whiz Kids of 1950, the Phillies squad that interrupted years of National League dominance by the Dodgers and Giants to snag an improbable pennant that year. The Philadelphia Sunday Bulletin decided to commemorate the moment with this spectacular 35-by-9 ½-inch panoramic team photograph that is presented here in an elegant matting and period frame that expand the overall dimensions to 40-by-14 inches. Legendary figures from that historic club include the likes of Richie Ashburn, Robin Roberts, Del Ennis, George Sisler and Curt Simmons, to name a few. The piece is seemingly Ex-Mt and is artfully framed to the period in gold with red accents. There is some slight splintering to the upper-left corner of the frame; the glass protecting the image could easily be cleaned up to good effect.
