The first Topps set for the decade of the 1960’s is found here in a highly collectible overall condition, broader in scope than typically found but largely Good to Near-Mint, with only about a dozen or so cards falling below the range. There are seven third-party slabbed and graded cards included in the offering: No. 148 Yastrzemski Rookie – SGC Authentic (Altered), No. 300 Aaron – SGC 5.5, No. 316 McCovey Rookie – SGC 2, No. 326 Clemente - SGC 2, No. 343 Koufax – SGC 4.5, 350 Mantle – SGC 1 and No. 563 Mantle All-Star – SGC 4.5. There are two cards missing – No. 133 Javier Rookie and No. 274 Acker; there are a handful of extras from upgrading. Overall, the set is 57 percent Excellent to Near-Mint, 39 percent Ex-Mt to Near-Mint and 41 percent Good to Very Good. About 1/3 of the set has the kind of centering that might typically prompt thoughts of an upgrade, though not all of those would be severe enough to dictate a formal off-center designation. A total of six Team cards carry an (mk) qualifier: Nos. 18, 43, 72, 208, 302 and 381. It’s a nice presentation of a key set from the first decade of the 1960s Topps tenure.
