Offered here is a huge array of perhaps the most unique mainstream card issue ever undertaken by Topps, the 1980-81 Basketball issue that features three unperforated cards constituting one standard-size 3 ½-by-2 ½-inch card. The unusual format results in 88 unperforated panels of three cards each; the printing was done on two sheets with the individual players – 1 1/6-by-2 ½ inches – rearranged on the second sheet. The offered group is in essentially pristine Near-Mint to Mint condition, with a few Near-Mint, with no discernible difference between the condition of the greatest stars and key Rookies in many other configurations – and the other stars, minor stars and commons. Of the huge subgroup of Hall of Famers, many of the versions are the All-Star or League Leader subsets. Breakdown of keys: Three (3) Birds (one is a League Leader), four Ervings (one Leader), one Magic Leader, seven (7) Abdul-Jabbars (three Leaders and one All-Star, and five (5) Maravichs.
