Hard to picture a more wide-ranging auction lot in terms of different sets and a lengthy time span, but the old-fashioned style grouping is loaded with more than two dozen Hall of Famers, many stars and important Rookies. Along with an impressive array of star cards from some of the most coveted sets of the postwar era, there are also seven Rookie cards of guys either in the Hall of Fame or belong there. Any cards listed below are the player’s regular-issue card unless otherwise indicated. The six slabbed cards: 1934 Diamond Stars Dixie Walker – BVG 2, 1952 Bowman Erskine – PSA 6 and 1952 Bowman Durocher – SGC 6, 1957 Topps Hodges – PSA 6, 1962 Joe Torre Rookie – PSA 6 and 1975 Topps Brett Rookie – SGC 3.5. The breakdown of raw keys: 1957 Topps (15) – mostly Good to Fair, including Fox (Good), Martin (Very Good), Ashburn (Good), Elston Howard (Good), Lemon (Fair), Kaline (Fair), Skowron (VG), Red Sox Team (VG) and Colavito Rookie (VG); 1961 Post Cereal (25) – mostly Fair to Good with some above and fairly typical scissoring, including Minoso, Schoendienst and Podres; Miscellaneous 1960s (7), including 1960 Topps Spahn – Ex-Mt o/c, 1962 Topps Drysdale – VG and 1968 Topps Sutton – Excellent-Plus; 1970s and 1980s (12) – mostly Excellent to Ex-Mt, with some above, including 1974 Topps Dave Parker Rookies (2), 1974 Topps Ryan (3), 1976 Topps Yount – Very Good, 1977 Topps Ryan, 1979 Topps, 1980 Topps Henderson Rookie – Good, 1983 Fleer and Donruss Boggs Rookies and a 1990 Post Henderson. And just to make sure everyone is paying attention, we also have a 1954 Bowman Large Elroy Hirsch (VG) and 1970 Topps Walt Frazier (Ex-Mt-Plus).
