This is a great example of the important 1952 Bowman U.S. Presidents issue, the 2 ½-by-3 ¾-inch cards that became a non-sport classic that would gain even wider popularity in later incarnations by Topps after the company bought out its rival in 1956. This array is a handsome mostly Ex-Mt to Near-Mint, with just a handful of cards below and boasting a very nice consistent look, with vivid colors and good gloss; headliners include Near-Mint examples of John Adams, Jackson, Grant and FDR and an Ex-Mt Eisenhower. The breakdown: Near-Mint (9) – No. 4 Adams, 7 White House Burning, 10 Jackson, 16 Fillmore, 17 Pierce, 21 Grant, 26 Benjamin Harrison, 33 Hoover and 34 FDR; Ex-Mt (7) – No. 1, 7 White House Burning, 8 Monroe, 22 Hayes, 23 Garfield and 36 Eisenhower; Excellent (2) – No. 6 Madison and No. 12 William Henry Harrison; and VG-Ex No. 2 Declaration of Independence. The final card is from the 1956 Topps reincarnation – No. 8 Van Buren – Near-Mint.
