Here’s an amazing piece for an autograph collector or a signed rookie card collector and the only one that exists. This is a true rookie card of baseball’s first African-American representative and hero to all. You cannot say enough about the importance of this man or this card from the same year as his 1948 Leaf RC. As a result of Jackie Robinson’s contribution, the game of baseball is a better one today, showcasing players from all over the globe. The card itself is graded PSA 1, three sharp corners, but the bottom right corner rounded and the bottom edge a little rough. The signature is blue ballpoint pen and is graded "8" in strength, but presents better. The rarity of this signed card can’t be overstated. It’s only one we’ve ever seen and this is the only example on PSA’s population report. A truly unique gem and will soon be one of the cornerstones of a world class collection. This single, which is No. 36 in the set, arrives slabbed and authenticated by PSA/DNA.
