David Ortiz used this pair of cleats in a Mother's Day game in 2016 and signed both on the toe. Ortiz inscribed the right cleat "5/8 2016, 2 HRS, Game Used Mother's Day" and signed his name and jersey number to the left cleat. The Red Sox beat the Yankees 5-1 that day, with Ortiz doing most of the damage, going 2-4 with two solo home runs in the 4th and 7th innings. The cleats show nice use around the toe and metal cleats on the bottom and have plenty of Yankee Stadium dirt affixed. The custom Ortiz cleats both including MLB and Fanatics holograms to the left and right of his number "34" on the back.
