October 24, 2024: Fall Auction
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/24/2024
For collectors of unopened packs, here’s a cool lot with nearly 100 Topps Heritage Baseball packs from the first year of the wildly successful series in 2001, providing a sampling of each of the first nine years and then somewhat larger totals for some years after 2016. The packs are easily Near-Mint to Mint or better, essentially as-issued blazers; the four unopened and sealed boxes listed are simply Mint. The Topps Heritage program, launched in 2001 with modern players brilliantly showcased in the iconic 1952 Topps set design, quickly became a company mainstay, captivating collectors of all ages virtually from Day One. Here’s a chance for one lucky pack collector to dip back to those earliest days of the now thoroughly celebrated series. For the listing that follows, we'll record the year of the card design replication rather than the Heritage issue date. Here’s the breakdown: 1) 1952 Topps – one pack; 2) 1953 Topps – one pack; 3) 1954 Topps – four packs; 4) 1955 Topps – five packs; 5) 1956 Topps – five packs; 6) 1957 Topps – one pack; 7) 1958 Topps – one pack; 8) 1959 Topps – four loose packs plus three cellophane-sealed retail Blister Boxes with eight packs in each box; 9) 1960 Topps – four packs; 10) 1966 Topps – seven packs; 11) 1967 Topps – three packs; 12) 1970 Topps – cellophane-sealed 24-count Hobby Box; 13) 1972 Topps – 12 packs; and 14) 1973 Topps – 12 packs.
