This Is yet another intriguing offering of what is easily the most important and coveted baseball card issue of the Depression Era, the fabled 1933 Goudey set, an array that includes many of the great stars of the period. In this instance the only discouraging word is that all have been jostled by a punch-hole, an affront that is often encountered with some 1930s and even later issues as cards from museums, libraries and even the occasional private collection were thusly modified for ghastly filing and storage purposes. Still, for an iconic issue notoriously difficult to either find or afford in almost any grade, the lot represents a unique opportunity to pick up nearly three dozen important cards in one fell swoop. The roster of keys features Walberg, Haas (2), Rick Ferrell, Ruel, Fitzsimmons, Piet and Allen. The lineup of the balance: No. 14, 34, 75, 77, 108, 118, 120, 126, 136, 141, 146, 158, 162, 167, 169, 182, 184, 186, 192 (mk), 193, 201 (mk), 208, 212 and 215.
