October 24, 2024: Fall Auction
This lot is closed for bidding. Bidding ended on 10/24/2024
Offered here Is a high-grade example of the 1976 Topps Baseball set, along with the 44-card Traded subset and a boatload of duplicates – say 950 or so, in a sparkling condition of essentially Ex-Mt to Near-Mint, with some cards above and below the range and the emphasis clearly to Near-Mint. About two dozen cards fall below the condition range, most of those to Excellent. As the listing below indicates, the Hall of Famers and stars conform to the wider condition range; in the case of the near-1,000 duplicates, the lineup includes key Hall of Famers and major stars, providing a great start on building at least a second complete set. The cards boast great color and gloss and super clean card backs, providing a wonderful, uniform presentation. The 44-card Traded sunset at the end is in the same condition range as the broader group. The breakdown: No. 1 Aaron Highlight – Ex-Mt-Plus, 19 Brett – Ex-Mt-Plus o/c, 98 Eckersley Rookie (2) – Near-Mint, 160 Winfield – Nr-Mt, 230 Yastrzemski – Nr-Mt, 240 Rose (2) – Nr-Mt o/c and Excellent, 300 Bench – Nr-Mt, 316 Yount – Nr-Mt-Plus, 330 Ryan – Ex-Mt-Plus o/c, 341 Gehrig All-Time (3), 346 Cobb All-Time (3), 347 Williams All-Time (2), 441 Carter – Nr-Mt-Plus, 480 Schmidt – Nr-Mt-Plus o/c, 500 Jackson – Ex-Mt-Plus, 550 Aaron – Nr-Mt, 599 Guidry Rookie – Nr-Mt o/c and 600 Seaver – Nr-Mt-Plus o/c.
