Offered are a pair of Babe Ruth cards from the end of his career as a Yankee, individual cards of The Bambino cut down from Exhibit Supply Co. Four-in-One conventional cards from the Depression Era sets. As befits his standing as the preeminent player in the game, Ruth appears in the upper-lefthand corner of both: the 1934 full Exhibit includes Yankees teammates Lou Gehrig, Left Gomez and Bill Dickey, while the 1935 full card would include Shanty Hogan, Wally Berger and Ed Brandt. The cut-down versions from the full-size 3 3/8-by-5 3/8 Exhibits come to 1 11/16-by-2 5/8-inch for the 1934 example and 1 7/16-by-2 7/16-inch for 1935. Both present decently, with the 1934 example Very Good and the 1935 example Good. Even with the unique qualification of being a cut-down version of these important sets, the individual cards remain a coveted collectible given the extraordinary stature of Ruth.
