Here’s a Baker’s Dozen of the hard-to-find circa 1930s Blum’s Baseball Bulletin Premiums, neatly divided between the larger (11 ½-by-13 ¾-inch size) and the smaller (9 ½-by-13 ¾-inch) size, headlined by four Hall of Famers and an overall condition range notably better than these are typically encountered in mature collections. Printed on a thin, glossy stock, the copyright information notes “Compiled by Fred J. Blum, Publisher, Blum’s Baseball Bulletin.” The most significant aspect of the offering is that most of the subjects have a connection to Rochester, N.Y. The breakdown: Wide Size (7) – 1911 Rochester Team – Fair, Donovan (2) – Fair, Narrow Size (6) – Collins – Excellent-Plus, Daubert – Ex-Mt, Evers – Good, Lajoie – Fair and Maranville (2) – Ex-Mt and Ex.
