Presented is an outstanding example of a difficult food issue from the inaugural season of the expansion Minnesota Twins in 1962, a complete, flattened Apple Fresh Dairy milk carton that features a 3 ¾-by-7 ¾-inch “card” of veteran backstop and two-time All-Star Earl Battey. The player is pictured in black-and-white, with spot red and green colors featured in graphic elements and printing. Given the atypical venue of a card printed on a waxed milk carton, the survivability of these treasures from that historic Twins ball club makes them difficult to find, which enhances the demand to greater levels. The next step up is then finding these rarities in complete, virtually untouched full carton measuring 13-by-7 ½ inches, an example that is easily Ex-Mt to Near-Mint.
