Presented is a nice grouping of nearly three dozen cards from one of the great issues of the Depression Era, the 1934 Goudey Baseball set, found here in a condition range of mostly Fair to Good, which is fairly typical of how these cards are encountered in mature collections. The charming “Lou Gehrig Says” and “Chuck Klein Says” issue features cards of the same 2 3/8-by-2 7/8th-inch dimensions of its more famous counterpart from one year earlier; this group is headlined by Dolph Camilli and several minor stars, including Bob Johnson, Willie Kamm, Blondy Ryan, Hughie Critz, Oscar Melillo and Cliff Bolton. Here's the breakdown: Excellent – No. 69 (m/c); Good (10) – Nos. 17, 24, 38, 40, 49, 53, 54, 60, 71 and 92; Fair (17) – Nos. 5, 14, 15, 16, 28, 30, 32, 45, 55, 58, 59, 64, 65, 70, 72, 73 and 81; and Poor (5) – Nos. 31, 50, 63, 68 and 91. Card No. 57 is apparently trimmed.
