This is a nice grouping of nine slabbed cards from the most coveted of all postwar baseball issues, the 1952 Topps set that typically serves as the starting point for many advanced collections. One of the highlights from the array are three cards from key members of the famed “Whiz Kids” who startled the Brooklyn Dodgers and the National League by snagging the 1950 National League pennant. The lineup: No. 24 Easter – PSA 5; No. 104 – PSA 4; No. 108 Konstanty – PSA 4; No. 112 – PSA 5.5; No. 162 Crandall – PSA 5; No. 196 – PSA 4; No. 212 Garver – PSA 5; No. 221 Hamner – PSA 5; and No. 297 Seminick – PSA 6.
