This 34.5" H&B Billy Williams Game-Used bat dates to the 1965-68 labeling period. The S2 model weighs 33.2 ounces and exhibits evidence of excellent use with a slight handle crack. Several ball marks and ball stitch impressions are visible on the right and back barrel. Also visible on the bat are six small depressions on the left barrel that do not appear to be ball marks. Williams' number "26" is written on the knob and top of barrel in black marker as well "Yosh Marks" referring to Yosh Kawano, a long time Cubs clubhouse manager, in which the appearance of these marks on 1960s and 1970s bats establishes a high degree of confidence as to the bats game use by the player. This high-end example of a Williams gamer is graded by John Taube of PSA/DNA who graded the bat GU 8.
