From two amazing decades of NFL football comes this prodigious group of singles and sets from Topps, virtually all in superb condition. Starts with a pair of Hall of Famers from 1972 Topps, No. 160 O.J. Simpson and No. 165 Johnny Unitas, both essentially Nr-Mt and then moves into larger groups starting with the next year. The breakdown (unless otherwise indicated, HOFers and stars in same condition as the broader overall range): 1973 Topps – Nr-Mt to Mt Complete Set (528), with the No. 358 Checklist card marked, and an additional group of (368) mostly different but with some duplication Ex-Mt to Nr-Mt cards, with some off centers, about a dozen Hall of Famers and both the No. 400 Namath and No. 500 Simpson cards; 1974 Topps (370) mostly Nr-Mt cards (quite a few with centering concerns); 1975 Topps Football – Nr-Mt to Mint Complete Set (528) plus (97) extras largely Nr-Mt; 1976 Topps – About (400) different with some duplication, mostly Ex-Mt to Nr-Mt, with Hall of Famers and stars; 1977 Topps – Two Complete Sets (1,056) in virtually matching Nr-Mt to Mt condition, simply unimprovable monsters, plus (845) extras, most different but some duplication, same sparkling condition, with Hall of Famers, stars and Specials; 1978 Topps – Blazing Nr-Mt to Mt Complete Set (528), virtually same condition as the 1977 sets; and in the 1980’s, complete Nr-Mt to Mt sets (many with the coveted “vending bend” that insists that cards are uncirculated) from 1983 (396) and 1984 (396), 1984 Topps USFL (132), 1985 (396, with blazing black borders, razor-sharp corners, great photos and gloss), 1986 (396) and 1989 (396).
