1984 Razor Shines Montreal Expos Game-Worn Road Jersey

Presented here is a handsome, game-worn jersey from Razor Shines, a journeyman infielder for the Montreal Expos in the mid-1980’s who saw limited major-league service but drew a good deal of attention by virtue of his colorful name. Shines played parts of four seasons in Montreal from 1983-85 and 1987, appearing in 68 games and batting .185 for his career. On the inside of the front left tail is a Rawlings Size 44 manufacturer’s tag with washing instructions. Attached is a tag that reads “SET 1 1984”. Above is a red strip tag with “Shines 84” embroidered on it in white stitching. On the left chest reads “Expos” in red tackle twill with the team’s “M” logo above it in red, white and blue tackle twill. On the right chest and on the back is player No. 31 in red tackle twill. Across the back reads player name “Shines,” also done in the same red tackle twill sewn directly onto the powder blue jersey. The shoulders feature the red-and-blue elastic trim that extends to the end of the sleeve. There is minimal fraying of the delicate red stitching on his number, NOB or “Expos” on the front, and virtually no fraying of the blue stitching on the team logo on the front. This jersey is properly tagged, was presented as game-used and in our opinion shows appropriate use.
