Presented is an outstanding example of the important 1966 Bazooka Baseball issue, the unique peripheral Topps series from 1959-71 that frequently featured spectacular photography of the great stars of the era. The 1966 Bazooka issue featured a trio of cards on panels on the back of boxes of bubble gum, each measuring 2 ½ -by-1 9/16 inches; the complete three-card panel carries a significant premium over the individually cut cards. This stunning offering boasts 16 panels carefully cut from the complete boxes, with almost in every instance the cutting clearly outside the dotted lines delineating the cards. The only exceptions would be panels 10 and 14, card Nos. 28-30 and 40-42. Panel No. 10 is cut along the right edge almost precisely on the right side of the No. 30 Henry Aaron card; on Panel No. 14 the cutting on the right edge seemingly infringes on the right side of the No. 42 Don Drysdale card. The sections cut from the boxes present Ex-Mt to Near-Mint and feature top and bottom and side sections folded flat; panels 1-4 reveal the smallest of creases that appear on the lower right-hand card and hardly detract from the presentation. This is a rare opportunity to pick up one of the key Bazooka issues of the era in a condition that is almost without equal.
