The first member of the exclusive 4,000 Hit Club has left his mark on this OAL Harridge baseball in blue ink on the side panel. Ty Cobb, or "The Georgia Peach," is unquestionably one of the top 10 players of all time, and certainly near the top of that list. Setting 90 major league records while he played, many of these remain intact, including highest lifetime batting average (.367) and most career batting titles with 12. Cobb remains one of the most highly collected players in the history of the sport. This ball is has very consistent, mild toning, and sports a solid 6-7/10 signature, due only to a very light amount of fading. It's dated "11/31/55" below his signature, which is authenticated by PSA/DNA with a full LOA. This impressive single-signed sphere will be a welcome addition to any high-end baseball collection.
